Mentorship and artistic direction for the collaborative project "Musicville", involving Slovenia, Croatia, and Austria, running from 2023 to the end of 2024. It seeks to reimagine the classical European art form of opera through an innovative, sustainable, and interdisciplinary approach, drawing inspiration from nature, local crafts, and traditions. The project focuses on participatory artistic practices, engaging various communities and audiences. It explores key questions such as how to combine art and sustainability, present contemporary culture in rural areas, and create new business opportunities for artists while protecting the environment. Musicville connects an international group of artists from diverse fields (music, theatre, architecture, visual arts, design, and performance) with local experts in agriculture, arts & crafts, and environmental and scientific sectors. By fostering collaboration and skill-sharing, the project enhances artists' resilience and encourages the creation of new, unexpected venues for contemporary music production.
