"Zvučni zid" is not merely a repetition of the winning formula that turned Peternel’s first compilation into an award-winning release, but rather its expansion and upgrade. The conceptual clash of forms, equally composed of pop and rock, as well as improvisational and fundamentally jazz music, has been executed in a rather accessible and effective manner. If the story began in Zagreb and expanded to Croatia, I believe we can expect the final chapter of the trilogy to include regional music as well. But that would be an ambitious endeavor—even for Vedran, who persistently proves that anything is possible with enough willpower and a well-tuned ear. — Zoran Stajčić for Ravno do dna
